Semantik web ile ilgili bir şeyler yazarken, birileri de “Semantik Web Öldü” diye haykırırken LinkedIn’de dikkatimi çeken bir yazışma ile karşılaştım:
I’m the Product lead for Yahoo! SearchMonkey. As a platform we digest RDFa (and other metadata standards) and allow application developers to use it when building applications for that URL on our SRP. We accept the RDFa either inline in your page or via a feed. In the event that your data forms a known ‘object’ for us then we will build an enhanced presentation for you (http://developer.search.yahoo.com/start ). We?re continually expanding our list of known objects, so check back on that page regularly.
Any publically available RDFa we learn of becomes available to anyone wishing to build an application against your URL, and it’s also exposed via our BOSS (Build your own Search Service – http://developer.yahoo.com/boss) platform. We’ve seen some creative uses of metadata by developers on both platforms. If an application which has been submitted to our gallery shows strong user traction we work with the developer to make it part of the default Search experience for all our users.
Feel free to DM me if you want to discuss any of the aspects to RDFa and Yahoo Search in more detail.
